Cake Smash & Splash for Mr J’s First Birthday
Little Mr J came back to the studio one year after his newborn session to celebrate his very first birthday with a cake smash and splash photoshoot! 🥰 Like many little ones, he was a little shy in front of the camera at first, which is completely normal for milestone sessions.
To help him feel comfortable, we brought in his big brothers to join the fun and kept Mum close by. Sometimes the best way to help a baby settle is to let them sit right on Mum or Dad’s lap while we carefully work around them. We’ll even cover parents up and focus on close-up shots to capture those sweet expressions. After some time to adjust to the studio, Mr J relaxed beautifully, and we were able to capture a gorgeous collection of images to celebrate this milestone.
For parents planning a first birthday cake smash session, it’s worth knowing that there’s never any rush. While most milestone sessions are fairly quick, we always allow plenty of time for babies to get used to the new surroundings. Every child is different, and we’ll do everything we can, from playful games to snuggles with Mum or Dad, to make sure your little one feels safe and happy so we can capture those genuine smiles.
